Day 1 Arrive in Kolkata
Today Morning, Arrive in Kolkata. You’ll be met and assisted on arrival in Kolkata airport and be transferred to your hotel. Relax in the cozy comfort of your hotel room.

Day 2 Sightseeing in Kolkata
This morning after breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kolkata; take a guided walk through the flower market of Kolkata seeing the beautiful yellow and orange marigolds and other seasonal flowers being traded. In close vicinity is also the wholesale vegetable market where farmers bring fresh produce to begin the day’s trading. Walking through the markets brings you to a junction-Dalhousie Square, where you will find the most interesting and unusual colonial buildings.

Victoria Memorial, a white marble structure built to commemorate the memory of Queen Victoria of England. The Kali Temple, ancient temples dedicated to goddess kali, from which the city of Kolkata derives its name, the famous Jain Temple and also see Fort William, a colonial fort built by the British to guard the city against the French. Later visit The Mother House of the Missionaries of Charity. It is the headquarters of the international religious congregation of the Missionaries of Charity. It has been home to Mother Teresa and her sisters from February 1953 to the present day. It is here that Mother lived, prayed, worked, and guided her religious family of sisters spread across the world. It is here that her body was laid to rest.

Also, take a leisurely walk to local market in Kolkata and have some famous traditional sweet, Bengali Sarees, Murshidabad silks and authentic handicrafts.

Later in the evening, get access to the home kitchen of a local Bengali Family & enjoy a cooking demonstration followed by Dinner. Spend time talking to your hosts and learn about the Indian way of life and the history of Indian cooking with classic culinary techniques. Your hosts will be happy to share their secret recipes that you can take home and recreate in your own kitchen.

Day 3 FLY from Kolkata – Bagdogra; Drive from Bagdogra – Darjeeling [95 Kms – 03 Hrs]
After Breakfast, in time, you’ll be transferred from hotel to Kolkata airport to board the flight for Bagdogra.

You’ll get meeting and assistance on arrival in Bagdogra airport and proceed on your drive to Darjeeling , Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2134m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising higher than all the others. Often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills”, it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow gauge railway track, surrounded by World Famous Tea Gardens.

Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check in into your hotel for 03 Nights’ stay.

Day 4 In Darjeeling
Take breakfast at the hotel and drive towards Darjeeling Railway Station to board your TOY TRAIN for Ghoom (7,407ft) the train will departs from Darjeeling Station (6,812ft) at 9 AM and it reaches back Darjeeling at 12 PM approximately. Enjoy a short journey from Darjeeling to Ghoom.. This journey includes just 7 kilometers of distance and one can either walk or take bus, taxi or train in order to return to Darjeeling.

Later, visit Tea Estate which is located 7kms before Mirik and on Siliguri-Mirik-Darjeeling route. The resort is a 3-storied luxury bungalow with modern amenities yet offering old world charm, and surrounded by lush tea bushes all around. You can get wonderful views of tea gardens, Mirik valley and even Nepal for that resort.

In evening, return back to Darjeeling. The evening is free for independent activities.

Day 5 In Darjeeling
Early Morning, visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden. It is truly a majestic sight. Also, visit Ghoom Monastery, the oldest Monastery in the area which was built in 1875. You can see the image of Mythey Buddha, that’s 15ft. high, on the way back from Tiger Hill.

Upon arrival in Darjeeling, enjoy the city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate (from outside), Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda.

Day 6 Drive to Pemayangste, a small hamlet in Sikkim (110 Kms / 5.5 Hrs)
Enter the state of Sikkim on your Highlights of West Bengal and Sikkim Tour, and visit Pemayangste, a little hamlet nestled in the Himalayas.

Later, visit the beautiful Pemayanste monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim.

Rest of the day is free for personal activities

Day 7 Drive to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim (125 Kms / 5.5 Hrs)
Proceed to the fourth treasure of your Highlights of West Bengal and Sikkim Tour, by visiting Gangtok, the capital city of the state of Sikkim.

Later, visit the Enchey monastery, which has a good collection of exquisite images and religious objects

Day 8 Day in Gangtok
Discover the charm of Gangtok on your Highlights of West Bengal and Sikkim Tour, Enjoy a short city tour of Gangtok, which includes a visit to the cottage industry institute, which showcases local handicrafts, souvenirs etc, and visit the Research Institute of Tibetology, which has a vast collection of rare Buddhist manuscripts and icons.

Later, visit the stupa, Do Dru La Chorten and Explore the Rumtek monastery where you can enjoy spectacular view of the snow covered Mt Kanchenjunga.

Day 9 Drive to Kalimpong, a small scenic town famous for its beautiful monastery (80 Kms / 3 Hrs)
Experience tranquility in your Highlights of West Bengal and Sikkim Tour, with a visit to the peaceful town of Kalimpong. Drive to Kalimpong, the beautiful hill town which is a meeting point of the ‘three closed lands’ and was once on the trade route between Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan.

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kalimpong which includes a visit to St. Theresa Church, Dela viewpoint lake and Kalimpong Bazaar to shop for local handicrafts

Day 10 Drive from Kalimpong to Bagdogra [85 Kms / 03 Hrs]
Bid goodbye to India, as you reach the finale of your Highlights of West Bengal and Sikkim Tour. In time, proceed on your drive for Bagdogra airport to catch your return flight to Kolkata.
